Ned Block on Definitions - Dictionary of Arguments

Metzinger II 553
Definition/Block: operational definitions cause damage if the result is the measurement of something else. E.g. Some authors: "Subjective experience results from an attribution process in which mental events are interpreted in the context of present circumstances." >Measurements.
Block: this reminds, e.g. of the definition of scientific quality of an article from the number of references to the article.
